D & S Cabling is owned and operated by Don Dunn. An Indiana native, Don served in the U.S. Army for 18 years. His military career was spent with one of the elite military units in the armed forces, the Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, stationed at Ft Myer, VA (Washington DC) where he performed in military pageants and parades across the country. Some of these ceremonies included performing for the president of the United States as well as visiting presidents, kings and other high ranking dignitaries. Don was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal.  After retiring from the U.S. Army in 2000, Don worked in the Army Operations Center at the Pentagon.  He was working there in a section which escaped damage on September 11, 2001. He received numerous awards for his actions during and after the attack.

After his tenure at the Pentagon, Don worked as a contractor for the FBI where he served as a lead technician overseeing the installation of the MDF (Main Distribution Facility) and horizontal fiber optic roll out at the FBI Crime Lab and National Academy in Quantico, VA. Don later worked as a Senior Lead Technician for the White House Communications Agency where he worked with team members installing VOIP and data systems via ABF (Air Blown Fiber) distribution at various locations tied in to and including the White House in Washington DC. Don maintained a Top Secret / SCI / Yankee White security clearance during all of these employments.

In 2007 Don moved back to Indiana and away from the rat race of the Washington DC area. He now resides and operates his business in the Coatesville, IN area. The discipline and attention to detail that he learned throughout his career is reflected in his work ethic today. Rather than paying someone else to do the “dirty work” he prefers to do most of the installation work himself.
